Description: Unión de la Frontera is a community group made up of 10 women entrepreneurs from different areas, who make handicrafts in burlap and food products such as jams, pastries, and cakes. In addition, they offer lodging options and the rental of cabins to visitors and tourists.
In said town, adjacent to the Pehuenche Hydroelectric Power Plant, the women decided to organize this group in order to join forces to get training and to market their products, mainly made with native woods, wool, and honey from the sector.
Its objective, at present, is to obtain a sales room adjacent to the community's headquarters, in order to show its products and services. The training carried out in the Eco-technology School of the Pehuenche Route offered by Enel with the support of the Sembra Foundation are also of great importance.
