Since October 2020, four editions of the Latam Circular Economy School have occurred, a program designed for Enel Group employees in Latin America. More than 470 employees from all business lines in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Peru, Costa Rica, and Guatemala have participated.
The program aims for participants to learn the new economic model proposed by the Circular economy, the strategy and integral vision of the company, and the applications that this has in the business along the entire value chain. The conferences have high-level guests who incorporate the circular economy into their activities and strategies, such as international companies, startups, universities, and government agencies. This allows students to understand, through authentic experiences and cases, new business models, benefits, barriers, and more.
In 2021, two editions of the Circular Economy Open School ocurred, an instance of dialogue with four special sessions available to all stakeholders in Latin America. These instances included four key contents to understand the circular economy: Finance in the energy transition; Social impacts of the circular economy; Role of innovation for the circular economy; and Circular cities in the framework of COP26.
The last edition of the Circular Economy School was held in 2022 and focused on transferring knowledge to the Top and Middle Managers of the business lines in all LATAM countries where the company operates. In addition, the school works as an open space where external stakeholders also participate in expanding the circular culture and evaluate the possibilities of applying these new methodologies in the national ecosystem.
