Sauzalito Hydroelectric Power Plant
The Sauzalito power plant is owned by Enel Generación Chile S.A. and is located on Route H255 Camino Termas de Cauquenes, Km 7 S/N, Machalí, O'Higgins Region. Its construction technique reflects the transition of the architecture of the time towards the sixties, when steel became much more important and, in addition to reinforced concrete, brick appeared as the predominant material. The resulting facade is then shown as a mixed system of masonry confined in steel and, in the upper part, clad with galvanized steel sheets. It has an installed capacity of 11 MW.
