Renaico Wind Farm
Renaico is the first Enel Green Power wind farm in the Araucania Region, about 500 km south of Santiago, and covers approximately 780 hectares.
With an 88 MW capacity, it generates more than 280 GWh per year, equivalent to some 129,000 Chilean homes' consumption needs. It avoids the emission of more than 135,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The energy generated by the park is fed into the electrical network at the Charrúa substation in the southern zone of the Central Interconnected System in the Bío-Bío Region.
