Los Buenos Aires Wind Farm
Los Buenos Aires is the first EGP wind farm in the Biobío Region. With 24 MW capacity, it generates more than 86 GWh per year, equivalent to the consumption needs of some 53,700 Chilean homes. It avoids the emission of more than 41,300 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The Los Buenos Aires wind farm was built in the district of Los Angeles, about 500 km south of Santiago, and covers approximately 12 hectares.
The energy generated by the park is injected into the electrical network at the Charrúa substation in the southern zone of the Interconnected Systems.
