Finis Terrae Photovoltaic Plant
Finis Terrae located in the commune of María Elena in the Antofagasta Region, about 1,300 km north of Santiago. It can produce more than 400 GWh per year, equivalent to about 198,000 Chilean households' consumption needs, avoiding the emission of more than 198,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The energy generated by the plant is injected into the electrical network at the Encuentro substation through an 8 km transmission line, in the Norte Grande Interconnected System (SING).
