Cipreses Hydroelectric Power Plant
The Cipreses power plant is owned by Enel Generación Chile S.A. and is located 105 km east of Talca, Maule Region. It was inaugurated in 1955 to supply energy to the 3rd geographic region defined in the National Electrification Plan. It is located in the hydraulic basin of the Maule and uses the waters of the Cipreses River for its operation. It has an installed capacity of 106 MW.
