The III version of the Generación Empresarial- Diario Financiero’s Award for “Commitment to Integrity” recognized Enel Chile and Enel Américas as two of the best evaluated companies in the rating performed by the Fundación Generación Empresarial (FGE), which highlights companies committed to the systematic promotion of ethics and best corporate practices, internally and externally.
“We receive this award with pride because it is a recognition of the strength and maturity of our corporate governance policies and standards. Ethics and transparency are an integral part of the values that inspire our work, generating trust and long-term sustainable relationships with all our stakeholder,” stated Paolo Pallotti, Enel Chile’s CEO.
The evaluation had two components: the first was an evaluation of the policies, tools, and programs for the promotion of ethics, transparency, and the culture of integrity with all stakeholders (internal and external); the second was the application of the Barometer of Corporate Values and Ethics to all workers, which measured the ethical and compliance culture based on their perception.
This award also recognized the implementation of measurable policies of Enel Chile and Enel Américas -a company that is also part of the Enel Group with assets in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru- and highlighted the development of programs, policies, and the commitment of all its stakeholders to encourage the culture of integrity and transparency. This has been reflected in several initiatives such as the ISO37001 Certification, the Criminal Risk Prevention Model Certification, and the 2019 Ethics Week, among others.
The jury was made up of renowned people from the worlds of academics and business, from the public sphere, and representatives from civil society.
