Cristiano Bussi holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pisa. In 2001, after graduating, he completed an internship at the Enel Research Center in Pisa - in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering - which allowed him to get in touch with the Enel world. In 2011, he participated in the 'Leadership for Energy' Management Program at SDA Bocconi and IESE Business School.
After joining Enel in 2002, Bussi held the position of Head of Planning and Control in several plants and supply chains of renewable and thermoelectric generation in Italy, directly in the territory, until becoming Head of Planning and Control of Generation Italy in 2014. Subsequently, he moved to the international field in the Global Power Generation business line, first as head of Operational Control and then as head of Thermal Generation Operational Performance Optimization. In 2018, he returned to the professional scope of Administration, Finance and Control as head of Planning and Control of the Thermal Generation business line, to which the Enel Green Power perimeter was also added in 2019.
Bussi has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Enel Generación Chile.
